If you were to go for an MG I'd say either the TF or the ZT (yes, the MG version of the Rover 75).

Personally, if I can't get the Roadster, I'm going for the 75 CDTi.

I'm guessing it's not cheap for parts though......

Not particularly but then it's pretty reliable anyway. Last time they did a survey Honda came top and IIRC Mazda was third.

I'd rather have a car that doesn't need new parts that often but charges a lot for them than a car with cheap parts that needs them all the time :D

If it's the S60/80 of the last five years you get my respect.

Meh, I drive a '96 Dodge Stratus, gets about ~30mpg. *looks to dig up pic* Hopefully this link works properly, as it's some random site: http://www.lascointl.com/vehicles/images/96stratus.jpg

Mine is silver, though. Nothing special. Lotta miles on it. Needs an oil change, tire rotation, etc.

I drive a 1990 Nissian 240sx, my dream car would just be to give it a good re-paint and a few other things.

As for gas milage, it gets just so/so, me and my bro has allready agree that it has been engine modded sometime before we got it.

Nice car, that.  Volvos have come a long way from the estate-driving, cardigan wearing, golf clubs in the back seat image they used to have.

I have to admit not being keen on the sort of large saloon type cars, though; comes from only passing my test about 8 or 9 months ago and still developing my spatial awareness (especially having always driven a wee car).

Yeah, it is quite nice.  It has lot of cool feautres but not very fuel efficient.  My other sister bought a brand new 2006 BMW 3 series a few months ago and I like the look of  the BMW better because it's bit more sporty :)

Ask her if it hurt when they stuck the hose in and removed half her brain though.

Not every BMW driver has only half a brain you know  :doubt:

BMW's are quite popular in NY, atleast where I am. And most of them are decent drivers. Must just be Euro BMW drivers...

Could be. Its just that 9 times out of 10 when I'm on the motorway and the car behind me is being driven by an impatient tailgating moron it will be a BMW driver. I'm not joking about that. In fact I'm actually surprised when the car acting like a moron behind me isn't a BMW.

Maybe like shell suits it's a status symbol for wankers.

Heh. Here, on the thruway, the cars that are tailgaiting the most are Honda Odyssey minivans, and the various SUVs. God I hate SUVs. And I guess because Hobda decided to give the Odyssey 250 Hp, these annoying soccer moms think they're racing every little car on the road.

Must just be in the UK, then.  BMW drivers are some of the worst there are; essentially inconsiderate bastards with a superiority complex because they own a well-engineered German car.

On the plus side, I had the nicest drive home today.  Snow Patrol CD blaring, sunroof open, nice winding country (well, suburban-stroke-rural) roads, and the sun out-yet peeping from behind the few clouds in the sky so I wasn't blinded and you had that neat shafts o' light effect.

What annoys me about them is that about half the time I actually drive faster than they do anyway. So they're all over me while I'm stuck in traffic, keeping a safe distance from the car in front of me and then as soon as the traffic clears I'm off and they're eating my dust.
What really annoys me is that often they are aware of this fact having caught up with me once I've run into another spot of traffic 5 miles down the road and then they still tailgate me. :hopping:

Shooting's too good for these people but if I had a pound for every time I've wished for rear facing sub-machine guns just for BMW drivers......
