BSG Season 2 Soundtrack - June 13!

If your like me and you love the work that Bear McCreary has done on the Battlestar Galactica music (taiko drums rock!) then you might be excited to know that the new soundtrack for season two is coming out.  I think this season had far more diversity in the music styles and the Pegasus soundtracks rocked.

nice, i'll haveta keep an eyeball out for this one, this also means that the season 2 box set won't be far behind, woo..

(yes, i get the box sets, other than star trek reruns on the satellite networks, i don't get much in the way of Science fiction here)

Meh, and BSG season two R2 DVD's are available here August 14th. I feel like we're being screwed over. :(

Are they going to be releasing the whole of Season 2 as one DVD boxed set?

This, I would like to know too.  I finished Season 1 and have been itching like mad to watch season 2, but didnt want to get the 2.0 box set, as I was hoping they'd release a full boxset like this.

i'd hope so, since i've aquired Season 1 as of late, with number six standing proudly on the cover.  :D

Interesting...la-la land records (:lol:) doesn't seem to be a member label of the RIAA. I may just get this. :yes: The price is a bit high, but BSG's music is definitely of exceptional quality.

It could be a lot worse, the insipid network that controls BSG down here has chosen to forgo season 2 entirely in favour of Big-f***ing-Brother. It it weren't for Limewire, i'd still be wondering if Adama lived through the assasination attempt. :rolleyes:

I'm still wondering about Adama, as I haven't downloaded a single BSG S2 episode, I'm patiently waiting for the DVD's. :)

I quite like what Bear McCreary has done to the original BSG theme. Look fowards to hearing the whole thing.

Someone put up a copy of Track 17 up for download a while back and I've been listening to it and track 14 a lot while FREDding or coding :)

On the topic of the season 1 soundtrack, does anybody know if the "Wander my friends" theme is something composed by McCreary or actually some old Irish song (that-s what it sounds like to me) ?

You wouldn't be able to point us to a download of these tracks (namely Track 17, I love that one), or possbily upload it, would you?

Wander My Friends is definately a very good piece of celtic inspired music but I don't think its specifically any one song.  I'm not sure what language the singing is in for that one but I know the Season 1 UK theme, Season 2 Theme everywhere is in Sanscript.
