Does the metric system make more sense or is it just me? Not just fo games, bur for everything. The English system is too confusing, and this is from someone who's grown up using it.

The Metric system is definately way cooler than the (very ancient) Imperial standard system.  The problem is if we switch it will be VERY expensive for american industry.  Simpley replacing the micrometers in service would cost millions, not to mention retooling the bigger (and vastly more expensive) machinery.

We are switching over, but at a very relaxed pace.  I doubt we'll see it in our lifetime, but our kids might.

Our system is filled with conventions that make absolutely no sense.  Like, why are there 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard, 1760 yards in a mile, etc.  and Why are inches divided into 16th's, etc.  Maybe a few hundred years ago, but not now.  The metric system and SI make more sense because of the factors of 10.

I think I'll keep my fractions.  Why right down Pi as 3.14...as far as you want to go when you can just do this. 22/7
Fractions are better in math, much easier to use.
12 inches was which ever King it was's foot size.  The yard is the was the length of his arm.  But not a clue where the rest came from.  But just to be different,

Hehe.

Just stick with the SI system. It's clear, consistant, and rather practical. Only spot of bother are moles, but even that's easy once you remember it's 6.022E23 units  

Also, the SI basic unit for mass isn't gram, as you might think. It's kilogram. I found that confusing at first.
