I'm not supposed to show the current Gigas, and the Gargant won't work with R1 anymore.

I'd have to port the Gargant to R1 to do that, plus I'd have to get R1 working. (at the moment Inferno: Alliance is installed in my old FS2 folder.)

It's impossible as impossible is leaving this job to just one person. If you find,for example,4 new members for the Inferno Team,you could do something rapidly. Where are the ex-members? I can't believe they're vanished!

Repeatedly, as I understand it. Woo just said he used the original model as a base for the Gargant, then there was the R1 model, which got retextured with the SCP Patch, making the final R1 Gigas the fourth version. And now I guess he's completly redesigned it. (again)

Ok I'll break the rule slightly

Gigas Release 1 2000-2001: Was a big modified Sathanas, the Gargant is based of the final version of this release version. There was two versions, a demo one with limited turrets and the final version with around 90 or so turrets.
Gigas Release 2 2002-2003: The R1 Gigas. Two versions, the SCP patch is a fix for some errors found later in the original version
Gigas Release 3 2003-2005: The 'current' Gigas, you've probably seen a few shots of it on the website. This is the current model you know about. This is the only unreleased version of the older models, and I don't plan on releasing it.
Gigas Release 4 2005-2006: The current model, blurred so you can't see it correctly. Keeps the Rakshasa style front of R2 and R3, but looks far more Shivan than those two versions. Turret count upped to match the improved Icanus, and has the highest polygon count of all Gigas versions.

I loved it when I had the Gigas R1 blow away the Enterprise-D (Greywolf's) in one shot (Could only imagine Picard on the brdge "Unknow vessel, This is Captain Picard of the UFP. We'd like to establish a dialo" - KABOOM!) And that was with a SMALL turret.   

Not finding the R3 one very appealing, very happy you changed it.   

If things get desperate (and providing the missing members don't have unrecoverable files), is there a possibility of an open call for people "between projects" to do piece work and try to get small chunks done during this hiatus?

The R3 was dropped as no-one seemed to like it.

Except for missions that I haven't received nothing else is unrecoverable. Most existing outgoing work is upgrades of existing stuff like DaBrain is upgrading the Shivan beams, but we have the current ones so the game can run, we could replace these effects while DaBrain finnishes the new ones off.

Syphon music track table needs updating
Vasudan weapons need sound effetcs
Sounds table needs fixing
Some stuff still needs balancing
Shivan beam effects need updating
I want to rip out each ship and weapon entry by entry and review it
All animated effects need fixing for 3.6.9 based builds. That'll take some time

Probably other stuff I've forgotten about needs doing too, that list is what I remember.

You misunderstand about INFA. It's a solo project by me alone, not the Inferno team. I'm not diverting the Inferno team to make it only my own time. There's no point me waiting around for the other staff to come back so I started it early. Until the senior staff comes back I can't make much progress with INF SCP, so to keep me interested I started one of the possible sub-mods.

Uh the R2 was released with INFR1...I think you mean the R3.

The people who saw the R3 screenshot on the website didn't like it, so I tried building a new Shivan ship (I made many Shivan ships in those weeks)
