Would someone clarify the difference? It had scenes from the movie... it introduced what was vaguely going to happen and who would be in it.

For these big budget films recently they seem to have gotten the definitions mixed up. A teaser trailer is usually meant to be under a minute and more often than not doesn't reveal much about the film's story (most of the time not even having a whole lot of actual footage), whereas this easily qualifies as a full length trailer. Perhaps this has something to do with the irritating phenomenon of so many recent full length trailers presenting the audience with 90% of the film's plot, which no trailer should ever do. Really, even a full length trailer shouldn't reveal any more than what was shown in this 'teaser'.

Anyway, I didn't like either of the first films, but I'll probably end up seeing this anyway.

In that case the Halo 2 theatrical trailer (seen here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/9/7/297aa5f8-6ebe-498b-b0a5-bc692dc08cc8/Halo2_AlreadyHere_60s_Textless_1Mbps_640x480.wmv) was a great trailer (which it is). That doesn't stop it from being horribly misleading though.

Really, I thought there was a discussion about trailers and how they shouldn't include the whole plot. I used the above example to show that something that doesn't include the whole plot results in horrible dissappointment.

No, horrible disappointment is when you see a movie because you liked the trailer only to find you already know all the plot twists.
