Actually it was the BRITISH did well, not just the English. I expect the Scots and the welsh bumped our score up...
You're right of course, but that begs the question... why? If the Scottish are proud of Scotland then Scotland should be counted in the survey as a seperate entity. I find myself wondering how many of them thought "well.. don't much like Wales or England... but Scotlands a great country!" and answered according to that view.
I've no problem with that of course... I'm curious to see how much the stats were altered by the inclusion of Welsh / Scottish etc. views concerning their own country - not the United Kingdom. Perhaps England alone would be a lot less patriotic?
