Umm... FSO is a virus?

  Apparently, whenever I unzip ANY of the CVS builds, my antivirus programs spaz out and say that the file is a virus.  I know it's not a virus because I've used FSO for a long time with no sign of viruses.  This started happening after I upgraded my computer, for some reason.  It is impossible to unzip any of the files.  Is there a way to make "Cox Security Suite" ignore the file?  I have to reset my computer whenever I move, delete, or otherwise manipulate the "virus."  I want to play FS2 again!

Isn't there something in one of these threads here about that? There IS a search function.

Oh, and:

[sarcasm] Yes. FSO is a very NASTY virus. It is designed to track all of your game playing, and then phone home to the FSO devs so that they can make FSO more attractive for other users. It also installs large numbers of new malware programs known as "Saths" which will find your CPU and turn it into an ever-expanding ball of plasma.[/sarcasm]

That's why my antivirus program is so stupid; it's too safe.
Mabey they don't want to have the danger of stupid kids going up and hitting random buttons...

You're kidding, right? YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A SATHANIS IS?!?!?


Yeah. Nasty little buggers. Also, they install multiple copies of each other, and usually, are seen in groups of eighty or more around a desk lamp or similar spherical light-bearing object. They then use sub-code generators to melt your CPU in around 5 minutes.

Apparently, it thinks it's an IRC bot.
