Yeah... Although the last month has been a bit quiet, we're getting back to our normal fast progressing speed.

I'd love to post pics, but they would spoil too much. I guess we've reached the limits of the engine... 


My votes:
Inferno R2 - A lot of action. Gigantic ships and cool weapons. Seeing so many new ships is just cool. Like a new game!
BSG - Great graphics, realistic gameplay and much fun in multiplayer. The settings are awesome, thanks to Omniscaper!
SoL - Effect orgy, never seen/used before features, and a lot of fun in multiplayer, especially with many players!



I'm also look forward to:
WC:S - Not really to the demo, but to the full version. I don't think there will be a single missing ship.
MindGames - I guess it will take a while though. And reviving it will require ... work.
TBP - 3.3 is awesome already and has 90% of all ships I want. I'm mostly looking forward to the campaigns.
BWO - I can't get  a clear picure of it, but the screenshots look promising.
Robotech - I'm not really into the series, but it looks like fun.

Well... I can only speak for MindGames now, but it might be the same with the other mods.

There isn't very much we can show you without spoiling a lot. I think everything I've worked on for MG so far is not ment to be showed before the release.
MG isn't about the content anyway. It's abou the complex and twisted storyline. You can't really show the players, what MG will be like. Screenshots won't really give you a clear picture of the game.

Even SoL might be a bit the same, but for different reasons. We can only show you some small stuff, cause the really big things need to be 100% complete until we can post shots/clips. So we even keep the general idea of the first missions for ourselfs. At least for now.


BtRL can show most of the content. The players know the ships already. Only some special missions concepts, as well as the story are held back.

There are loads of mods i've been on tenterhooks for, Example when TBP was in its infancy i waited tenuously for the demo to come out and whooped with joy, BWO i've been following for an age now, and MT, over half a decade. I am sure the time and effort is well spent, but i'm guessing most fans at this time are simply unhappy with lack of progress shots or update shots.

MG is currently sleeping cause I'm spending all my time on BtRL at the moment. Soon as that finished I'm going to work on MG and SoR with renewed enthusiasm. I've invested far to much time (and had far too little I can publically show) for both of those projects to let them die now.


As for what I'm waiting for, I have two categories really. There are games I want to see done just for the achievement they represent and games I just desperately want to play. Some of the games that fall into the first category (WCP and BHX for instance) etc have given me the privilege of getting an early look at their work so I'm not so desperate for them to release (But you should be! ). I'm involved in a couple of others like BtRL and MG so I can play them whenever I want.

As a result my top 3 are

• SoL - Mainly for technical reasons than due to me being a huge StarFox fan. This mod is going to push the engine at least as much as BtRL does. Although it lacks the high poly gorgeousness of BtRL I'm expecting quite a bit from the first mod to use scripts properly.
• TI - Often forgotten but there is a lot of talent behind that mod. They were the first to get proper planetary mission working. Everyone just thinks it was SoL. Looking forwards to seeing the new race in action. No one has yet managed that.

And just to be different

• Pathways - I doubt anyone else would mention it but since I knew that Ransom was involved I've been following it. I loved Transcend and if he thinks that the storyline is good enough to make it worthy of his time then it's worthy of mine too. The kickarse trailer they put out is what really got me salivating though.

But to be perfectly honest: I'm going to download every single mod in this list when it's done. And I probably won't be able to stand the download time, as soon the the dl starts.


Edit: Yeah... TI had ground missions before SoL had them.* We've had quite a bit of contact to TI and exchanged a few ideas concerning this topic.


TI should be added to the list.



*And TBP beat us all and released a ground mission first. I was rather surprised.
