Sure you'll have a career. Grab some pre-pubescent boys, eat some grapes, wear loose white sheets as clothes and let the plebs support your relaxed, luxurious lifestyle. Being a philosopher kicks ass, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And best part is that future generations will kiss your proverbial asshole, no matter how crazy you are.
Well, I'm not actually assuming that philosophy will be my career path, mainly because I have little interest in teaching, (or graduate work in philosophy, for that matter.) I see it more as acquiring a knowledge base that will be useful in other areas of interest, like creative writing. If I had real guts, I probably would have gone all out and been a music major.
