Nice that you have a new monitor Kazan. I know the feeling. I recently bought a used 20-inch Eizo monitor. Everything is really big and it's nice with 1600x1200 resolution.

Yea well I'm on a 17" loaner from a friend because my 15" will now ONLY work if the core is sitting out aprox 1 inch from the moniter housing

17" Flatron from LG... runs 1920*1440 at 90Hz. Yeh, I'm happy.

steak that must hurt your eyes, i have 1600*1200 and that hurts if i have to focus on anything!!

Not really... the size you get used to eventually. What's your refresh rate? That can hurt your eyes too, if it's too low.  

Now, I switch to 1600*1200, and things looks so big
