What font is used on the FS2 box?
I'm talking about the title font, not Bank Gothic... the font where the middle line on a capital "E" is pointy and sticks way out to the right.

EDIT: Right, not left... corrected.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

PhReAk is right.  Its custom artwork.  When we asked for a TrueType font, we were told by Volition (I think it was Adam Plecher), that the logo was designed as is.  There was no TrueType font designed for it.

I have had the idea for over a year that I should make the FS2 font. And I've started working on it but I couldn't find a good fontmaking program that could import Illustrate files.

Anyway, this is what I got when I tried: http://home.swipnet.se/~w-81377/fs2/fs2title01.jpg

The closest font that I have found is the Futurama font: http://home.swipnet.se/~w-81377/fs2/fs2title.gif

Wow - that's good enough for what I need it for - do you have the whole alphabet?

I don't have the whole alphabet. I made the title letters in freespace and maybe a couple of more letters, can't really remember.

I was going to post Pez's work, I remember it. There was a thread about this a while back   But AFAIK, he never put the actual TTF up for download.

Font's actually aren't all that hard to do, as long as they're straight-edged ones. I recall having a look at the underlying structure of TTF's years ago, but I didn't have a reason to make one.

Hmmm, well, I guess the render I wanted to use that font on will have to make do with graphic art.
