I thought it was because folic acid supports terrorism, Osama Bin Laden, communism, atheism, divorce, contraception, and butsecks.

Re: Illegal little Vegemites
Ugh, I hate vegemite. :doubt:

Then you are unpatriotic and have allowed the anti-Australian terrorists to win. :p
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

No, that's DVD piracy. Watch any DVD and you'll see.

Re: Illegal little Vegemites
I have never ever heard of Vegemite.
Just go hang around in Australia, and eventually someone will hand you a Vegemite sandwich.

It's like, a law or something.

Dammit, suddenly I have Men At Work's "A Land Down Under" blaring in my head!  :p

EDIT: Quoted from wikipedia: "In October 2006, the Melbourne Herald Sun reported that vegemite is banned in the USA, with Customs officials going so far as to even search Australians for Vegemite when they enter the country. However, no official statement from the Food and Drug Administration or any other US government agency has been made specifically banning yeast extract products. Some believe that this is a misunderstanding."

Can anyone back this up?

Re: Illegal little Vegemites
:wtf:

Can someone explain what the problem is with folic acid in something other than bread/cereal?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folic_acid#Dietary_fortification_of_folic_acid

in other words i have no idea

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobalamin#Deficiency

Folic acid can mask the signs of B-12 deficiency, which can cause severe nerve damage (among other things.)  I can see why they did what they did, but it seems a little paranoid to me...

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

Re: Illegal little Vegemites
Vegemite is the one of the world's best sources of Vitamin B (Including B-12 IIRC), so that's a somewhat flawed argument.
