Back on topic, I've converted a few files into .ogg ones for INFA but I need advice on how to fix the table file. Do I need to change the second number showed in each line? How?

This is the first time I've heard the extended version of the Freespace 1 title.

That said, I think there are still seems to be some timing problems and mixing errors along with off-cued looping still to be had with this new Music_VP, (such as the ambient parts during "Love the Treason.../...But Hate the Traitor"). But the other parts that work fine are very nice.

Give Dan Wentz our regards for his contributions to this project. Giving us the entire high-quality soundtrack was an amazing feat in itself. I'd still be surprised if Volition hads't given lossless versions of their cutscenes. It's kind of how the people who worked in this game really care for the work they've put into.

Not into the normal mediavps, no, but if you play The Procyon Insurgency, you'll hear a few of them.

Oh, and I noticed that you're using Mobius' font scheme. If you want to use your own, use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors#X11_color_names as a reference.

You're not allowed to use Mobius's tags though.  You don't see anybody using Maeglamor's, or Black Wolf's, do you?

Just out of interest, how do you earn a tag for yourself? Not that I want one, I'm fine with plain text.

You have to have a good reputation on the forum, first of all.  Then you have to establish a unique text style and use it consistently, for a long period of time, such that it becomes a sort of trademark.  (And it has to be a trademark, not an annoying quirk.)  Then your posts have to become noteworthy enough that people quote them often enough that a custom tag would make quoting easier.

No offense, but I don't think Grimper has fulfilled any of these requirements...

So... if I throw the mv_music.vp into the 3.6.10 mediavps folder, I will get better version of music in FS2, without having to go and play with tables or whatnot ?

fs2betamainhall was the track included in the FS2 beta for it's Mainhall screen.

Where is fs2betamainhall? It's not in any of the downloadable zips...

It isn't called fs2betamainhall in any of them. In extramusic.zip, the file you want is Main1 or Main1a. Main1 is louder.

I seem to have encountered problems trying to play the music.

Probably since I have nothing that can play or convert .ogg or .flac files. Solution? (probably mentioned before... but 16 pages is quite a hefty search)
