Libertarianism is such a fad. I'd be scared ****less if they ever took power.

Just vote...you guys have the freedom to go and vote for a political party or even spoil the ballot and less than 50% of you ever show up at the polling station.  Us Canadians are just as pathetic so I'll give the same speech when Harper's minority government falls and we go into the next election.

Actually, it's when you go vote and keep Indiana a solid red state, but take care of the Republicans in most other states. :p
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

i gotta do some research and find which guy is less of a scumbag.  the less theyre getting from lobbyists ,the more they deserve my vote.

Lobbying is a minus, but I have no delusions; I'd sooner vote for a liberal scumbag than an honest conservative.

yah, dude you haven't been here very long have you?

anyway, I find it interesting that if you have the social position of a democrat and the economic position of a republican, all of the sudden you are living in a fanticy world of marmalade skies and lollipop forests.

or were you operating under the impression that I thought I had a snowballs chance on the surface of the sun of hell of getting my party into power anytime in the next decade?

Because I disagree with Republican economic philosophy. Hence, it is wrong. And if you support something that's wrong, you're living in a fantasy world.

Seems pretty simple to me.

The eXile sez:
http://www.exile.ru/2006-November-03/election_2006.html

Quote
Making predictions is always a dangerous business, which is why we at the eXile decided that on this, our 250th issue, we'd roll the die and stake it all on a prediction that almost no one believes is possible. We'll stake ten years of hard-won credibility on just this one foolish prediction -- we're doubling down everything this paper is worth, and placing our girlfriends as collateral just in case. That's how good we feel about this. Ready? Here goes. THIS COMING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2006, THE REPUBLICANS WILL KEEP CONTROL OF BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS.

So what makes us so confident? Dr. Johnson once wrote that "a second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience." The same is true when you watch a fourth election in which observers believe that the American public is finally going to come around and make rational choices, rather than the same proto-primate choices they've been making over and over again. Hope says that Americans will finally wake up; experience proves that the American public sides whichever brute picks up the biggest stick and bashes it hardest on the ground. And that brute has been, is, and will be the Republican Party.

In then goes on to say:
Quote
Your solution? You pledge to support the peaceful transfer of power to a junta, which will work to "restore order." But it can't be a military junta, because the ugly truth is that most Americans would eagerly support a military junta. Hell, they've been trying to vote for the closest equivalent to a military junta for decades now; even the "liberal hawks" love the idea of a military junta.

I am certain, my fellow Americans, that our generals agreed on a plan for what to do if Bush refuses their demand long before this editorial was written. It gives me comfort to know that someone with our best interests in mind is now in control.

I still think were going to be left in the dark. My state is to small for swinging the vote. So why should i vote tomorrow? If somebody is going to be governor in Alaska it has meaning. But the bog one. Not a chace in hell.

  • In the morning!
My state lights up red immediately after voting closes for the day.  Luckily, that's what I would vote, so it doesn't really make a damn bit of difference if I vote tomorrow or not.  It's about the only thing I like about this state.
