redmance: there is no difference between Libertarians and anarchists really

bobboau: technically lieberman is the extremist for the dems - he went frothing DINO suck-the-cock-of-the-administration on us... but he has promised to still caucus with us, so the seat is effectively ours

all:
webb pulled ahead... montana is going democrat in the senate race.. it's own to MO

The democrats won a pretty sizable majority in the house. The democrats won not because they had better ideas, but because of the bumbling incompetance of Bush & co. It was basically impossible to lose (unless the elections were cancelled). Makes me wonder about 2008.......
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

They'll do a lot better in 2008 than 2004, so long as they don't put another talking tree up as presidential candidate.

It's been a good day for the Democrats, but an even better day for manufacturers of small wavey American flags.

*snicker*
I knew it.  Just about every single candidate was red from my state, and it was no surprise that Matheson was elected either.

Now we wait for Pelosi to start jumping and screaming about impeaching Bush and company from office.  Oh the drama that will ensue in America.  It'll be the Clinton sex scandal all over again, cept this time it'll be about the mismanagement of the war.  "A new direction for America".  Yeah, right down the ****in toilet.

You're already deep in **** anyways. mate; you should be calling for people to get you out of it (if you can find them), not predicting what's already happened.

Oh man so close on the senate! you were like 8000 votes away in Virginia, and you would have had the majority, now you've got it split right in half. good news for you however, the house is now democrat property, I was hoping the senate would go D if only one would, oh well, today is going to be an entertaining day to listed to the conservative talk shows none the less :D.

I'd imagine it's better to have a split 'parliament' than one dominated by either party, anyways.

I'm curious, what are the comments from hardcore republicans on the results ?
Over here in Europe the news are concentrating on interviewing democrats.
