Yeah, worryingly old - IIRC it's about 3+ years old. If humors mean't to be fun - at least make it new.

Well, this is new to me

Yes, it is - I saw this (or something basically identical) in the Abort, Retry, Fail section of a PC Magazine years and years ago.

Besides, I haven't used that key combination nearly as much as I did before I installed Win2K.

America, stand assured that Israel truly understands what you are going through.

Know how to use Rhino3D? Want to put your ships into Freespace 2? You've come to the right place!

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Me neither, same story with XP. Only done it twice, actually just to get to taskmgr.

Well yes. If you go from 9x to NT/2k/XP, you will see a huge stability boost and overall better performance. Its a more solid OS. Its not BSD or another decent Unix, but its still far and away better than 9x. A lot of it has to do with basic control of how hardware and software and RAM interact.

...and, 2k & XP are built to use more than 192 (256?) MB of RAM. So I can really use my 384MB (soon to be 640) of PC133 to do crazy stuff.

(Yes, I will soon have more MB of RAM - 640 - than Mhz of CPU - 500. My techy friends find that amusing...  )
