This wasn't supposed to happen lol :P
I overdid the stats a little I guess  :P. My ship is supposed to replace the Colossus for now and I was going through the entire FS2 campaign to see how they fare and test stuff. Apparently I overpowered my big ship :lol:.



For those who don't get it, closely examine the scene and you can see why it is overpowered besides the beams. Btw, in a head on match my ship looses by a long shot, Sath is supposed to dominate it but not here. I just wanted to show this for fun, I know what to do to fix this.

Who would have thought that changing a few tiny values changed the very course of the battle :wtf:? I just reduced the speed from 75 to 60 and moved the Sath a little to the right and rotated it a tiny bit to the right and look what happens! Yeaoouch



BUT, this battle did indeed change history. It became overwhelmingly reminiscent of when the Battlestar Pegasus (the new series) suicided into a BaseStar and a docking wing fell off and smashed into another BaseStar. I conjecture that my super sized chunks rammed the Sath and killed it when my ship died! DRAW!!!

Nah, it didn't change history that way, Capella would still have gone boom and the Colossus would still have died, what difference does 1 Sath make?

Yep. But it DID change history. The colossus replacement will go down in history in that it not only bought time for the Bastsion, but it also took down its second Shivan Juggernaught with its debris. But thats not supposed to happen anyways :P.

It did change history, but only very slightly, with no long-term concequence if you ask me...

Well thats what I have been saying. Though I don't particularly think crossing different story universes together, in my story the "human" faction has about a dozen of those big ships and about 60 version 5s in active service with another 60 waiting. So it would be quite a big melee if all of the Sathanas' and the Hurricane series duked it out. Of course, I'm not going to test that hypothesis :lol:!

Lol... the Colossus busts out of Cappella, buys time for the Bastion, and beats up two Shivan Juggernauts in a row, with no repairs...

Anyway, that mission always puts the Colossus in worse shape then I left it. WTH are the mechanics doing, sabotaging it?!

Because of a small coding bug, I weakened my ship (High Noon). The Sath can shoot at about 8-10 km away. I set my beams to target at around 4000 while the plasma turrets could shoot who knows how far! That means my ship can get an early hit off the sathanas and reduce it to 70. However, when the Sath strikes, down goes the hitpoints FAST. When I tweaked the beam range my ship got too powerful because of the plasma turret's incredible range. I reduced those cannon's range to 6km and now the battle is nearly even. It will be up to me now to bomb those turrets!

Because of these bugs I nearly lost my ship! On High Noon I managed to deliver the final bomb that killed the Sathanas when my super ship was at 1hp! One last shot and it would have died.

My own self imposed stupid mistakes :lol:. Nothing to worry about, everything is fixed now.
