FS2 Training Mission 1 Problem
Frequently, when I'm instructed to "Press \ to maintain top speed" and I do so, it's not recognized so I have to start over.

Re: FS2 Training Mission 1 Problem
You wouldn't have the port activated as a mod at all would you? (Or any other mod for that matter)  This sometimes happens if you happen to have the wrong ship for the training mission, which also happens to have a different top speed tp the one required (i.e. Myrmidon) This top speed is required to be held for 2 secs (IIRC) which will then complete the directive. Other thsn that.............I can't be to sure whats wrong????

Re: FS2 Training Mission 1 Problem
I'm using default keys and the mediavps as mod.

I did think of one thing though. I'm warned explicitly at the beginning to follow directions and not go moving around on my own or else I'll flunk training, and I might be ignoring that advice. I'll try again.

Too bad that training is so boring. That's why my current pilot doesn't have his wings.

I don't think I can earn my wings by training in the simulator either. Maybe on the second time around...

The only training mission that matters for wings is the one were you dogfight the drones

I had that problem too, but because I use an European keyboard. My key for "Full throttle" is "รน".

Re: FS2 Training Mission 1 Problem
I just tried that mission in FSPort, same thing, "\" is not recognized by the instructor, even though I accelerate fine, all keys are set to default and recognized.

Could it be because I have a Windows keyboard with the extra key?

press \, then use the + and - keys to get your speed around 75m/s, and leave it there for ~5 secs. See if that works.

why would an SCP error be considered as news? :wtf: *smacks Cobra*It's a feature.

Re: FS2 Training Mission 1 Problem
I think you're onto something, my max speed is 70 m/s. I can't go above that without the afterburner. Anything else I can try?

Re: FS2 Training Mission 1 Problem
D'oh! Good suggestion!

One click up on the engines puts me to 76 km, problem solved.

Thanks Turey. Wonder why that needs to be done?

Now if I can just figure out my Nebula question.
