Gee Wobble looks a little like Ulysses31...

And Sarafan, is that Green blocky ship from one of the late Legend of the Galactic Heroes episodes?

[Edit damn you Aldo, you beat me by seconds]... I get more points for my OTAKUness!

I once had to spend weeks working in London, where the hotel had only about 3 satellite channels - Sky One, Cartoon Network, and something I forget.  I ended up watching the entire series (more or less) of Ulysses 31 in bed.

Great show wasn't it!   :D

Hehe, I honestly have no clue, I saw the first episode and decided it was lame (I was younger then and very impatient)... When I saw the picture it simply struck me as that kind of ship.

Remember what my user name is? Go Nagai is all about passion and eye-catching action, not drawn out musical overtures and rather dry action. (no offense to anyone).

hehe i thought the modern bsg is ****e, sorry to say this but its too american for my taste thats the reason i dont watch it. the orginal was better, far better imho, atleast there was a sense of unity and spirit, but with the modern version is corperate money grabbers, not belivable characters, too overdramatised, the plot is not belivable.

i watched andromeda 7 a whole series and it was ok.. but i was expecting more, i found farscape more attractive to watch back then.

Dont worry, its a show that takes quite a effort to watch it and even more not to get lost, 110 episodes (+50 on other series) and you cant lose a single one.

no wait i think its androma. not andromeda 7 :P. opps blakes 7 is crap

You like Andromeda, but loathe Blake's 7 ?!?

Surely you must hail from the bizarro-universe, where up is down and everybody has a fancy 'stache.

Blake's 7 may have looked like a cheap version of 1970's Doctor Who (And believe me, that in itself is an achievement), but the storyline is still one of the best out there. Before Blakes 7 we had Buck Rodgers and Flash Gordon etc, squeaky clean heroes who always saved the day. All of a sudden we were given 7 convicted criminals who overthrew a prison transport, stole an alien ship and went storming across the Galaxy to fulfill their leaders' personal vendetta. Only 3 of the original 7 actually survived to the last episode (Blake, Villa and Avon) and then they died.

It was the complete opposite of everything sci-fi experienced up to that point, and a lot of people don't realise how much it changed the sci-fi scene.

and farscape did the exact same thing. Rigel, Chriton and Ayrren. i dont like blake 7 simply put, i never liked it.
bsg modern is too american, because i dont understand what these people are saying most of the time its all in slang and sentences that dont go together.

flash gordon was cool.

hey Col. Fishguts you hate things like me so cut that crap.

Ghostavo you have opinions about some other stuff about it being tastless or there is not enough, again cut the crap.

just because i make an observation that means i get spammed, or put it this way, i tryt go for a drink and you shoot me because of that. how typical

Chiana was the hot one, screw the rest of the Farscape cast...Sikozu was hot too, for the most part until she popped out with that insane lesbian / punk (Christ what the hell would it be called?) hair style.

Not an American here...(close enough I guess) but I didn't think any of it would be difficult to understand.  There is some slang yes, but its not American slang, not that I'm aware of anyways.  The show has invented some of its own slang, there's some aviation terms that get thrown around on the flight deck and some general military stuff but nothing specifically American.  Got an example? I'm curious from a cultural/mass media sort of perspective.

BSG has as much american slang as Farscape does. So unless you've forgotten all the frelling dialogue, I can't see why you will like one while saying the other one is bad because of the slang.

I can accept you not liking BSG or whatever as long as the argument makes sense!
