Note on Hinduism:

Shiva is the destroyer, but the whole point is he destroys the universe and all life in it so that it can be remade.

Personally, I just reckon the Shivans are in it to kill everything that moves. There was a theory knocking around somewhere that said that the only way the Shivans could realise their goal of a well-ordered universe would be to destroy all other sentient life.

Whatever, we got good game out of it.

I personally think the GTI had something to do with the Lucifer's arrival; they met the Shivans, classified it at the highest level, and then the data was lost after the Hades rebellion.

Just wait 'til the first part of Time of Change is released. That has possible explaniation to the arrival of the Shivans.
