Well I thought the logo looked familiar, but I wasn't sure if it was really what I thought it was. Anyhow, I don't recognize the ship from any of the Mechwarrior games, so I'm guessing it's from MechCommander perhaps?

Battletech. Or in this case Aerotech 2. You mistake the child for the father.

Battuta: Well, it ain't the Tatsumaki, so it's probably a Kyushu. Though I don't recall the Kyushu having those odd outboard thruster arrays (certainly not lower ones), so it may be the Mount Niitaka or a Kirishima.

Mefustae: It looks kinda like the Sulaco, but...

I know about Battletech. That picture just looks a heck of a lot like the kind of pre-rendered cutscene you'd have in an older PC game. The only games I could think of under the Battletech license are Mechwarrior and Mechcommander.

Well, the MC cutscenes only ever showed DropShips. It's also pretty clearly fanmade; the quality is too good to be MW2 or derviations and too poor to be MW3 or post.

Yeah, she's a fanmade Kyushu.  Probably explains the oddities, I think. 

You know those things cart 108 Battlemechs?  And they can combat drop them directly onto a planet via pods, no dropships required?  I was impressed.

I have a complete Regimental Combat Team's worth of minis, plus transport. (Yes, all 1163 of them.)

Some of you guys here are definitely more BattleTech-savvy than I am. Over here it's all Gundam SEED and whatnot. No insults intended. :)
