If you want to use 3.6.9 install the 3.4 beta. 3.3a and older is no longer supported.

No, the problem is also in the table file, but using a newer build will fix it..

That error deals with turret barrel angles. It can be fixed to be used on an older build, but you will have to edit the ships.tbl, not really worth the effort, but.

I have fixed it before, in the tables that is, by commenting out certain values, listed below.
The ; is used to make the game skip over data not relevent to the game.

 $animation:triggered
 $type:initial
 +relative_angle: 45,180,0

so they look like this

;$animation:triggered
 ;$type:initial
 ;+relative_angle: 45,180,0

So to fix it for an older build you`d have to do a lot of editing.  :shaking:
And the turret barrels will be pointing straight up, as it does in retail fs2.  Like I said, not worth the effort.  :nervous:
(edit)
A lot of errors can be caused by editing the ships.tbl.. If your a novice, id advise not to mess with it..   :sigh:  :(
(edit2) ack, don`t listen to me, i`m bad, i`m bad...  :ick: Smacks self... ouch....
