It's time for me to go.
Ok, guys well im taking off guys, i'm going to release all my source code for my FreeSpace 2 applications

i'm working on a build of POF Constructor Suite and i will finish it then release it.

The Code will be released under the rules of the GPL license - or the license that Volition/Interplay put on the fileformats (if they code works with the file formats)

After I get windows emulation running on my linux machine I will be able to help out - and i may even be able to play FreeSpace 2 and Red Faction! (i've seen screens of them running on windows emulation faster than on windows)

I'm really growing bored of gaming, it's been fun guys, and I'll be around to talk and give help, etc.

Anyhow, good luck with whatever it is you're doing. I've just installed Linux and haven't had a lot of experience with emulators but I'll check them out

Lol

I just can't stop laughing to these anti-windows idiots.

Though for someone like Kazan, Linux is maybe a better choice, for anyone else, garbage.

And about the the subject: Once again, huh?

Note: I'm going to be flamed to death because of this post, but I'll post it anyway.

Since when does using Linux making you an 'anti-windows idiot'? I'm a FreeBSD user. Does that make me an 'anti-windows idiot'? Seriously, that was a pretty ignorant statement. Use the OS that works best for what you need your OS to do. For some people that's a Linux flavor, or a BSD variant or Windows or MacOS. For gaming it happens to be Windows these days.

*insert requested flaming comments here*

Seriously, why post something that you yourself predict will cause flaming?

Whatevers, anyway - Kazan: You've been a real good help at times, and at times you've been a real jerk - but that's why we'll miss you.   Glad to hear you'll still be hanging around the boards, dude.

And I don't think you, especially, will have too much trouble getting those emulators working. All they need is a good scream or three.

I don't run it, but... GO LINUX!!!

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

MacOS.

Yeah, Pera, it really sounds like you said that because you wanted to be an ******* . Over the years, Windows has pandered more and more to the lowest common denominator of computer literacy, at the price of b=convienience to advanced users. I have two computers, one ancient old grandaddy of a Pentium with a badly corrupted, unstable Windows 95 copy and a fast one with Windows 2000. The damaged Windows 95 has fewer problems in running than a fully operational Win2K, and what's more takes up a fraction of the HD space- I also have slightly more hard disk on the faster one, but only holds half as many apps and STILL has memory issues most of the time- largely because it uses Windows 2000. 'Course, I doubt someone as unaware as you understood half of that, but there you go.

See ya Kazan. And I know I will, there is no escape!!!
