So I finished Derelict today (had NO mission issues or anything, oddly enough) but I'm a little confused about the story.  The Shivan stuff I get, but what the hell was up with all the stealthed fighters, and the general weirdness with the GTVI?  How come they attacked the AWACS ship that was looking for the Auriga? 

Also, was the story supposed to just completely ignore the Auriga like that at the end, or did I screw up somehow?  That whole aspect of the campaign really threw me off.  Maybe someone can explain it to me?  I did play through it by going through the mission simulator and doing the ctrl+s trick rather than go through the campaign itself, because halfway through it I had to reformat the computer and didn't feel like playing the first 10 missions over again.

Derelict leaves a lot of unanswered questions, setting itself up for a sequel.  Unfortunately, that never happened =(

BWO is Derelict 2. I believe one of the BWO team members stated this a while ago. I personally believe Derelict and BWO to be the closest thing to a true sequel to FS2 --- despite the weirdnesses Derelict had (didn't it have pirates possessing advanced Ares fighters?)
