Anyway, I have decided to start a poetry series called The Iceni Anthology.  If you have a poem to contribute, please write it as a reply to this topic.

NOTE:  Only good poetry.  I don't want, for example:

Aken Bosch

He lived on the Iceni
and got captured by the Shivans
and are now working at the Shivan shipyards.
His a** gets beaten every day
because he doesn't work.


A head start poem for you:

so defected to the NTF?
Two hundred were transferred to her
during her embarkment on her
maiden voyage.
Come close to Bosch as his personal
secretary I did.
Thirteen I did place in his private quarters,
his office space, and washroom.
To log, thirty thousand message parcels
were transferred to SOC with more in route?
How can I live as a servant
of the rebel swarm
and a man of honor?

Death of a Pilot

I fire my Subach's at the enemy,
it's destruction a mighty pleasure,
yet I do not know that one is behind me,
the strike is fast and I lose cabin presure.

I'm starting to fall unconsious,
as my nose starts to bleed,
I know I should be more cautious,
but I feel like I am freed.

As my ship explodes in fire,
my lungs filled with laughter,
everyone thought I was a liar,
when I screwed the admiral's daughter!

Nobody knew about it
until it was too late.
I now suffer the consequence
of my actions.
Passing by the third Knossos
from my account,
I now see
the fate of our race.
What I did was for
our comrad Terrans.
How many more have to die
before I recognize my actions.
I witness the creation and the
destruction of stars.
What is to become of me?
What is to become of our race?
Has the exodus, this quest for madness,
ended in a collapse of a star?
Have we attained our salvation,
through my madness, my wrath.
How many more have to die?  How many more...
