I need somone who can edit FS2 ships, in particular the Meson bomb.  All I really need is for somone to stick a beam turret somwhere near the centre of it and modifiy its table entry to make it work.

It should be able to defend itself.

I'll let you guess why there's no defensive gatling guns on ICBMs

Bah. Nuclear ICBM's are old hat, Anti-matter weapons are the weapons of the future. They've aparently manage to make/find a tiny few AM particles for a fraction of a second. I don't know if it's been confirmed conclusively though.

I don't see why anyone would want to use AM missiles though. They'd give off far more Gamma radiation; explode at full force if they were shot; and nukes are sufficent to annihilate a country in a split second. Using AM would just make bigger craters.

In Nodewar some of my ships have Anti-matter Gatling guns  .

I don't see why they banned multi-package ICBM's. If you shot down a single multi-pack you'd save loads of places. With the current bans you'd just have to launch more missiles and thus increase the percentage of successful impacts.

Uhhhh.. I'd prefer no ICBMs, the world would be a much happier, Disney like place

NATO could stage mass food fights, that way warring countries could get rid of all that unhealty angst and everyone would be well fed...

Good thing I don't run the world eh?

Actually, I want missiles that have weapons and drop their own submunitions. I'm sure wEvil knows what I'm talking about.

Next I'll be modelling blackhawks and voidhawks and hellhawks...

Exactly how does one contain antimatter? You'd need to suspend in in a vacuum with a magnetic field, or something.

Don't get me started on Edenist Habitats. Or... or... Tranquility. :melt:  Can you imagine what kind of unholy hell Tranquility could unleash when it gets mad?

Oh, and yes. You contain antimatter in a high powered magnetic bottle within a vacuum. At least that's what they do these days.

Yep, antimatter can be contained... the problem is containing very much of it.   At least for now, miniscule amounts at best.

As for shooting down multi-warhead ICBMs being better because you save lots of places at once... that would require being able to hit them before they split apart, which they do at the apex of their flight. Which is IIRC pretty much above the atmosphere, and out of the range of just about anything you can think of.   But if you could shoot them on their UPWARD track (not bloody likely) then it would work.

But anyway, back on topic... no need to make the Meson Bomb defend itself. I wouldn't mind if it was a bit bigger, though...

Acctually it's not for defending itself as such.  I have an idea I want to try.  If the beam can be made white as well it would help.

If it works I'll make a mission to show off what I intended.

hmmm, AM bombs, bad idea.  Those things are not for planetary warfare unless your intent is to destroy the planet.  With AM, you wont get a crater, you'll get a very fine dust field where the planet was.  AM will cancel out a equal amount of matter, and by doing so cause a very nice big explosion.  As of yet, they know no way of containing it, it will react with any form of matter.  as for antimatter guns? are you insane? the anitmatter trail will destroy your ship and anything within it's general vicinity.  Dont mess with anti matter, its a bad way to go.
