I don't have it, so I can't really mod it, and Starcraft is proving difficult enough, without trying to get another game to do what I want.

One of the better RTS games.  Had lots of units, strategies and such.

The campaign for it sucked, and the AI is awful.  But it has lots of community support, especially considering the company that made it went out of business (Cavedog).

I prefer Starcraft out of either of them.

Its still a good game, Intercrap went out of business and their games are still good
not to mention,  the head of PA(planet Annyhalation) used to play FS, but Im not shure if he left, or if he is still there(its been aobut a 5 months since they switch to forum planet and I left because I couldent post   )

You can download the cwad
here but keep in mind the fact that this is not only my first go, but only the first draft. I'm working on wireframes now, and I'll extract suitable sounds and movies from the FS vps eventually, so it'll be better soon.

Oh, wow! That's really neat!

Like the Valkyrie MOD! Keep it up! Now all we need are some other fighters and capital ships and we'll have a war!

I thought someone was doing a Starcraft - FreeSpace MOD?? Like making a Terran Battlecruiser to be played inside FreeSpace 2?

Starcraft supports indoor play too, so you can like have a mission on a Orion or something, still would need some custom stuff.

Well, i know one other RTS that was hella cool ( I played only the demo and I can't remember the name unfortunately, I thin,k it was "Steel something").
You were building all the basic trrops, but you also had access to giant anime like robots, that you could completly customize ( you had the torso has basis, then you could choose different types of legs - for running faster, with additional weapons or anything else, arms -different weapons like a sword or a heavy machine gun-, head -sensors- etc). You coould also go underground and there was teleporters to high atmosphere plateforms. It was damn fun.

Steel soldiers? Never played it. It looked sorta cool.

Homeworld, Total Annihilation, and Empire Earth (which has recently replaced AoK - The Conquerors as my favorite historical RTS)

That's great! I must say that all those things are many points in favour of TA. Naturally, though, there are points for the other side... so that alone will not convince me.

But, that said, despite all those great gameplay features, all I can speak from is my own experience - and that is that TA was much harder to get into, the plot was never really explained very well, and overall I had to try very hard to enjoy it. SC, though probably more simple and hence easier to use, was easier to have fun with. *shrugs* Oh well...

Hey, I saw a trailer for that! Really, really cool. The gameplay looked neat. And it had a good backplot to bring it all together, too.

Metal Fatigue got terrible reviews, and it really wasn't too good (or at least the demo) it was bland, and had bad execution of usable ideas. (I love animeish robots so I wish it were better but )

FS Marines look pretty much like starcraft marines, so you could use them, and we never see any other FS ground units. You could however, work it like the Brood War mission where you are stealing battlecruisers. Take some pilots to the hanger bay, steal some fighters, have some fun.

? The reviews i've seen were good, and I for my part enjoyed the demo a lot, the big robots fights were damn impressive, really well done ( tho you needed an entire army to destroy one of the big ones, but they cost a lot so I suppose it was well balanced anyway).

I don't know where else to post this, and I'm at my wits end so I'm going to ask anyway.

To get the wireframes for the valk to work so that they change colour when hit, I have to use a specific palette file which Starcraft recognizes, and I have to use the correct palette index. The problem is that the palette I have to use has more than one colour with the same RGB index, but different indexes. When I try to use the colour I need, PSP defaults to the wrong index, and I can't change it, as PSP selects using RGB factors.

If anyone has any way around this, I really do need help. I'm using PSP 5, but have access to 7, and a few other programs, GIMP, Photodeluxe etc.
