Hello all,
this is my first post on this forum, so please don't be too harsh if this is a silly question: I have installed Freespace Open (3.6.9, I think - I'm on a different computer now). I have started playing the campaign, and now I'm stuck in the Bearbaiting mission: There is no way I can finish this with Harpoons. And Harpoons is what I get, not the Helios and Trebuchets mentioned in the briefing. I can neither change the ship type nor the weapons configuration.
Any tips?

Yeah welcome, ummm, usually there's weapons under your seat that are like official, but from what you see from my welcome beam...I had to make my ****ty own weapon to welcome people.

About your problem, i've had that once while playing the freespace port. It mainly deals with some misplaced file in fs2, but since i don't remember the exact details, i'll just refer you to the source code forum where this problem is addressed.

Corrupted pilot file, most likely.

Couple things you can do:
-Create a new campaign file.
-Edit the mission to remove the scramble flag and then select your weapons manually, if it will let you.

The second one is easier.  So I've done it for you.  Place this in your data\missions folder.

If that doesn't work, post here again and someone can create you a new campaign file.
