FS2_Open crash w/o message on mission start
Hi,

I've compilled fs2_open_r following your guide for linux http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/The_fs2_open_on_Linux_Guide and installed FreeSpace 2 Open Online Installer and copied the files form my original install into the directory and run the game. It Works up until the point of starting a mission after the briefing and then crashes, locking up the mouse and leaving the screen in the in game resolution.

What is going on?

It may be worth pointing out that I'm running Ubuntu Feisty 64 bit and have compiled FS2_Open as 64 bit, but it didn't complain.

Could you let me know what to do?

Can you compile debug build and that one too?

Also add -window to the command line

It looks like I've done something stupid whilst installing it but I don't know what.

As this is Linux issue you could post to 'cross platform development' forums.. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/board,113.0.html

But it might be useful to upload the newly generated 'fs2_open.log' somewhere so that we can check if there is anything wrong with it.
Do not meddle in the affairs of coders for they are soggy and hard to light

Not sure what the problem was but I have downloaded the version from the linux section of the forums and that works.
