Well I could always go rainbow on them if we don't reach a consensus here. So, more seriously: green, purple, yellow..? What color should they get? I personally began to like green when I started recoloring the ships. It'll go well with the subspace rift weapons.

BTW- I must be tired or something, I didn't even notice the whole Tiberium thing on the Lamia...

Seriously though, green is not bad, but who would have thought the shivans were related to the nephilim... :D

The Intro is available at http://www.freespacemods.net/download.php?view.475 . You'll meet the Higher Shivans in it (with the old purple glows). Can't spoil more...  :p

Obviously you'll also meet the Tiigran-Merisst, but they are just as much a mystery as the H. Shivans.

How about a glowmap which uses a mixture of darker-toned green, sort of a brooding color (which fits the Shivans just fine...)? That might look better than the current set of glows.

Mix the dark with the light - keep the base color but add in a darker tone/hue. Give it a bubbling/brooding effect.  :nod:

put in a small shade of blue and you'll have the bionts from archimedian dynasty/aquanox... :D

So the Higher Shivans stay green. I pretty much suck at photoshop, so I'll need to take my time figuring out which function(s) would make the coolest effect on the glowmaps.

Other than that, my semester is ending and I'm a bit busy at the university right now. Expect another update in less than a few weeks though.

oooh: the apocalypse project... :D

Well, unfortunately, since I don't like strategy games, I didn't play homeworld (which is a bummer as the story looks quite enticing).

However, I have high faiths in the mods out here on hard light to give us space sim addicts a view of the homeworld saga...

Guess we here put some more work into our screenshots (backgrounds, shots flying around, a close up view on Retsof's thrusters etc).  :p

One more thing- Jadehawk is responsible for the textures on all 3 T-M ships in the wiki, the Cataphract is based on Hellstryker's concept and blowfish helped me out with the convertion of the T-MB Cuirassier. Could anyone update the articles please?

P.S. Hope I didn't miss anyone from the graphics/modelling dept.  :p
