look what i found ;o)

a low poly-vasudan fighter pilot mesh....somewhere in the net sitting in a horus-fighter.....
i already tweaked him a bit in texturing (made him naked ;) ) as well as adding hypernurbs....
at the moment i try to bone him.....hard work and never did it before....fingers crossed....

but for far-shots it should be enough.....nur i need a shivan ;)

and i´m planning to show this in the revised version ;) beam charging.....

cool.....his name is bob? nice ;) but i fear he will be toasted also on vasuda ;)

and if you could find the shivan that would be great!

i got no response from volition regarding the cinematic meshes :doubt:

Hmm. Assuming that Vasuda Prime has a earth-like gravity, and earth's escape velocity is 11 km/s, how are these fighters supposed to launch?

Yeah, it's better to ignore realism. After all, we already have laser weapons, photon beams and whatnot. Sure some fighters can escape a planet without complications.

At the extreme and dire risk of furthering a physics discussion, escape velocity only apples to projectiles. Objects moving under their own power can escape at any velocity.

IceyJones: Can you explain what you want to happen in that beam charge up segment? I *may* include one in my cutscene, so it'd be cool to keep them roughly similar. :)

it will be only a short shot i canned in the actual version.

as the beam is made with visible lights, i only set the length to 0 so it looks like charging up the beam in the middle of these arms of the canon. then a glare will be visible and increase until the screen is nearly white.....
then the beam fires and the camera does a fast turn to the planet.....then you see the same as in the actual version.

a simple solution ;)
