EDIT: LOL, the funny thing about derek smart wanting to make another freespace game is those people who said "what if he did a good job?". No he would never do a good job, bad graphics, bad sound, planets you can walk on (wtf), float in space in an EV suit (supposed to float in space in a fighter), pilot an orion (a good thing), ignore the shivans and go to 40,000 randomly generated planets all with green grass and a hill(wtf). Yeah, that's what freespace 3 would have been if derek smart had made it.

HLP has beaten what would have happened to freespace if Derek Smart had worked on it. Those screenshots is what would have happened to freespace and would have become freespace 3. Everyone gets a pat on the back for not accomodating derek. And those who said what if he did do a good job had he made fs3? No, it's obvious he never would have done a good job ever, he'd just give us battlecruiser xxxx with all of the fs2 and fs1 models imported into the game and nothing else
