I use trueSpace 6.6. They totally made a hash of the UI with 7. They made it "pretty", changed all the icons so one can't figure out what does what, and MOVED EVERYTHING AROUND.

Have legal versions, love them, and don't see any reason to change to a lesser-known or lesser-used program.  Only one I'd consider changing to is Maya.

Kill me! I use Truespace 3.2 ............. It´s what I begun using, what I´ve learned and what I didn´t need to buy at that moment. Also, it still does the job nicely, and don´t have to go exporting any files. The thing is it took me 2 years to learn modeling ( and half that time to learn TS ) and I kind of stuck to it. Though seeing this thread has given me new perspectives. Perhaps I´ll change one day.....

i use rhino and solidworks , im just starting to grtmy head around blender as im trying to wean my self off windows , but i havent done any modding for FS i use both for engineering plans n projects n my free time

Used Blender ages ago, quite like it. I like Milkshape's simplicity, I keep it installed even when I'm using something else because it's so good for manual optimization. Lets me at the triangles directly, none of this modifier **** or pretending you're working with polygons. Only polygon I need is a triangle, damnit.
