Personally, I would like to keep in the HLP tradition that avatars are earned by work on projects, and titles by our (admin) discretion, as priveliges. But we'll yet see.

Ok, we're going to experiment with this. A limited amount of avatars from the FS universe chosen by us will be added for selection to the forum. If people whine about them or mis-use them then the ability will be disabled and we'll go back to how it was before.

On careful thought (okay, about ten minutes' worth), I have to agree with Setekh on this one. Basicly, having a project avatar identifies people as belonging to a project (or in some people's cases, three!). It also picks out the admins very well. It could be argued that admins are already hilighted pretty well because they have the HLP logo.

Avatars uploaded - I took the liberty of only making them available to people with over 50 posts on the forum, this'll stop people who only want to post once taking up space with avatar info without being to restrictive. I hope you like them

I think you chose pretty good Avatars, actually.
How about reserving a select few for admin peoples, ie Juggernaughts(sp?)/destroyers and, of course, AWACS .

And the ships are supposed to be public only. Hosted site people will (eventually) get their hosted site icons back and admins will stick with their HLP avatars.

We may make changes - so keep suggestions coming, just don't whine

Actually, I've seen this, and well, it re-iterates what I thought before. Man, that JPG compression is bad.

Anyway, that's still my opinion; but if you really like 'em, fine.
