One would scratch one's head and look at one's copies of FreeSpace 2 disks in disbelief before binning them. One would then decide not to consume alcohol ever again!

One would start looking at his FS disk then this One would go get himself a better joystick replay FS in the hopes this time i get them all . then One never stops drinking alcohol non-stop ever again . At least this way il be too drunk to know when they blast our sorry arses across the Sol sistem. Oh well we were a primitive sorry excuse for a species anywaya right???

Or one would go the likes of "man i've got to stop smoking these things" Or better yet "man this stuff's great i need to get me some more of this ..."Peace 6 legged bug.." Then one would proceed to get a really big boot in an attempt to squish them .

Oki now this One meaning me will stop drinking beer and posting on the forum at the same time.(No i wont :P )

Does the UN have first contact protocol now that we're discussing it? Cos i truly believe we're gonna screw the pooch if it comes to pass. The gov either wouldn't take it srsly or whoever gets to take the first move would incite a space war :(

I don't know if it makes sense to have a first contact protocol, because the "others" will probably be so different that either they understand our rudeness, or start a war about it immediately.

This thread gave me an idea on why the Shivans attacked us. In 2335 they've probably captured one of our long range radio waves that we send to space for finding alien life, with Bush pictured through the radio waves. And when the Shivans saw Bush from those radio waves, they declared war on the GTA. The PVN just got in the way.

Considering there's 6 billion people in the world, many very organized and with very big guns, a few tens of thousands of stunned, pissed off insects in Crysis suits won't do much. Yes one on one they're supposed to be tough, but if  6(?) FS1 marines can take one out with a high-tech grenade launcher, 100,000 US Marines aren't gonna have much of a problem.

The nukes we have won't work if we fire them at the ship's exterior.  Even if we ignore the impenetrable shield, we could fire every nuke we've got at the thing and barely scratch the surface.
