The Harbinger says it has a 5000 megaton payload. You have to shoot 250 Harbingers at a Lucifer to completely kill it. 250 x 500 is 125,000 megatons. That's 125 gigatons. You think we Earth ****ters can muster that much firepower? Before giant metallic crabs come and kill everyone?

And that's not even taking into account the Lucy's shielding subsystem.

I think 125 gigatons would pretty much sink a whole state and critically irradiate and destroy the whole USA (which would be good tho).

Ever think that we can have peace, learn everything from them, then backstab them if that really needs to happen?

I may be a Shivan but I am not full American. A lot of Americans can be stupid, assholes, or both but if people just stop trying to dominate or kill everyone else then we could have peace. Besides there are good people in the U.S. it is just the majority are really stupid.

This thread gave me an idea on why the Shivans attacked us. In 2335 they've probably captured one of our long range radio waves that we send to space for finding alien life, with Bush pictured through the radio waves. And when the Shivans saw Bush from those radio waves, they declared war on the GTA. The PVN just got in the way.

Our radio transmissions don't even make it 4 light-years out.  They spread out too quickly.

I would think, "How the hell did SHIVANS(!!!) get here?!"  Then I would think that maybe something went wrong in subspace and the Lucifer's reactors were destroyed long before it exited subspace, and it took some damage to its subspace navigation systems, causing the subspace conduit to shift to our time and closer to Earth.  The Bastion finally made it into subspace, just to find out that the tunnel shifted its temporal position.  They also crash down to Earth, right on top of the Lucifer.
