yesterday evening i was really fed up with the cutscene-wip, so i surfed through my cinema4d-"objects"-folder......my model-graveyard

found my hi-poly-x-wing conversion (downloaded model, me added just some details and scripting of every movable object like landing gear, etc) and the ISD (same procedure). unfortunately my TIEs are gone :-( nevertheless did some renderings of them....maybe you like them.

I love the XWing, looks like some of the 1970's promotional art The Star Destroyer looks 'wrong' somehow though, I'm not whether it is the 'clean-ness' of the surface or whether the greebling comes out a bit too far....

On the other hand, the Star Destroyer looks awesome here. Much better than anywhere else I've seen it. Can't say the same about the X-Wings though.

Is that FractalSponge's ISD?  I believe he has what is considered the best looking ISD mesh freely available online, hosted on places like SciFi3D and the like.  That looks a lot like it actually.  It's so good that Lucasarts 'stole' it for use in a trailer for Force Unleashed, although they used an old version that had a couple of inaccuracies, one related to the bridge shape.  Anyway, those are some really sweet renders, maybe I could get you to do some 4:3 ones for the SWC interface?  Like a few of the loading screens I'm thinking.

I think part of the problem with that first ISD is the very simplified turbolaser banks, they almost look unfinished or something.  And the cleanliness of the hull besides that doesn't help either like Flip said.  And I'm sorry Shadow, but those X-Wings are pretty good.  The only thing that looks at all funny to me about them is the insides of the thrusters, seems like there should be something else where there's that little section of a circle.

its just incredible.....even my pc is not able to handle this mesh working with it is really ....well..... nerve-wracking.....

and of course i could do some renders for you.....just send me rough scetches of things you want and we will see, whats possible.....
