Upcoming models (The old Model Release Redux)

I'm starting a new thread because the old one is a.) old b.) too messy

This is the reason I've been quite the last few months......

Update list:
  • Every model has normal mapping
  • Shine maps are unified
  • Ships now use Saga's missiles, instead of mine (with a few new missile exceptions)
  • Tables have been cleaned up and unified style, with readme's in them
  • Many ships got new textures
  • There's a logoless version of the texture (if necessary), including shine and glowmaps (if necessary)
  • Capital ship hitpoints are now more reflective of Saga's, (a modern frigate the size of a classic destroyer should have nearly the same hitpoints)
  • Top,right,front renderings of each ship plus a fly around avi of each one

Installation:
  • If your using my old collection, delete the Additional-*.vp files, and replace it with the one below.  Same with the ship vps.
  • If you wish to use my models without the mod stuff, for your own mod, you 'll need only the Scooby-Required vp file. Otherwise grab both.
  • If you wish to use the logoless versions, you'll need to:
  •      Download and extract the logoless rar file to maps folder.
  •      Rename the file from BLAH-LOGOLESS.dds to BLAH.dds  or BLAH-shine-LOGOLESS.dds to BLAH-shine.dds

No, the ships. They're HUGE compared to the WC equivalents--many are around 40m while few WC ships exceed 30 and most are in the lower 20s.

If your comparing them to saga's models, the scaling factor is different.  If PCS2 ever includes a rescaling feature, then I'll scale down, otherwise it's a little too late.

Also the only ship that exceeds 40m so far is the Galaxy and thats a gunship.  Heavy's and bombers are all in the 30-35 range. Mediums in the ~25, lights ~20.
