WIP name - it's the pre-Ragnarok viking god of Fire.
This is what i've spent the last week on... I'm attempting to get a more realistic (closer to
) mapping style, although the 'hull lines' will probably be dropped in the next model. It's a mix of work on PSP7 and Adobe Photoshop, which I'm learning justnow.
May revise the 'electromagnetic propellor ring' thingie textures.
Tech fluff
The GTB Surt was rushed into production towards the end of the second war with the Shivans, although the destruction of Capella ended the anticipated long campaign. The Surt differs from conventional heavy bombers such as the Ursa and Boanerges, in that it is designed to utilise a magnetically accellerated shell. The Surt was in fact designed to carry the 'Type 1' mass driver, capable of rapid firing up to 15 light uranium tipped shells in just under 2 seconds. 2 other varients of this weapon have been developed.
Since the Capella nova 3 years ago, the existing Surt class bombers have seen extensive use in border rebellions.4 guns, 1 missile bank (the 'gun') firing specialised weapons. Fairly Ursa-like in perfromance, although a bit smaller methinks.
