I think I just heard a car race outside an hour ago at 12:30 in the morning outside my hotel. The engines were really ****ing loud, even through double pane windows on the 8th floor. I'm no expert, but they didn't sound like no normal sports car engines.... they sounded like F1 engines. By the time I looked out the window it was already too late.
Can someone tell me if this is the norm in Japan, or was that just a Fast and Furious gimmick. It seems the longer I stay in Japan, the more this place boggles the mind. :warp:

'Bout 10 minutes after they left the vicinity I heard an ambulance go by... :nervous:

Glad I got home early and didn't end up like the people stuck in gridlock for the last 4 hours in the thundersnowstorm. :D

We had one of those in early December, was one of the single most awesome weather events I have experienced in Scotland, ever. (And I've been trapped camping in the highlands [Roughing it, not campgrounds] during a flash thunderstorm that covered a large portion of North/East Scotland and washed away railway lines in Perthshire)

Been playing a game of Supremecy 1914 with a dozen+other people.

I currently have private alliances with so many people that if a battle goes down, I know its going on, and the only people near me are the best allies I have.

Combined with #2 economy in the world, still expanding, I'm pretty set.

I realised that the Queen song The Show Must Go On could work very well in a war setting and could be very symbolic.

Re: W-H-I-Y-L I pity the fools that diss it.
We are getting close to wrapping up the Chinese Broadsword section at historic weapons class, so we started to delve into the two sword weapon techniques.  AFAIK Chinese Broadsword is one of the few if only systems with a practical two sword system, that is two say two equal length swords as opposed to Nito Ryu or Rapier and Dagger which are composed of a long and short weapon.  In any case we ran some drills where two single weapon wielders attacked a single person wielding two.  Granted it was a little sloppy since two of us had only recently been introduced to the system but it was literally like something out of a Kung Fu film, its helped by the fact that most Chinese kata are built around the idea of one vs one hundred.   It was pretty hilarious.

It would take no small amount of skill and vision but you could probably compose a pretty outstanding synopsis of FS2 set to Queen's The Prophet Song.  Especially if you played with the idea of featuring Aken Bosch as the titular prophet.

Spurred by "Bad Science" by Ben Goldacre (An excellent book that everyone should read), I researched an SSRI antidepressant that a very close and dear friend in Florida is on for anxiety.

I now want to find the nearest Pharma-company rep and tear them apart.

Who's up for destroying people who pervert science for profit?

Whilst that does sound very good, he's given me a long list of people whom, as a scientist (in-training), I wish to see devoured by wild dogs (Here boys! One prey that the allee effect won't hinder you with!), the pharma-companies are the first ones I actually have a real and personal beef against.
