Procrastination and general laziness has finally caught up with and is gonna bite me in ass. It looks like I may have to serve several months in the Taiwanese military. Should I try to find a way out of it or take it as a life lesson...
Take it as a life-lesson, I reckon. If you genuinely don't want to be there, then my advice, simply as a civvie is to take it easy and find some way out (legally, of course), because you're probably going to be a detriment to all the other blokes who turn up if you're hating every second of it. But I would encourage having an open mind to it. Who knows, you might make a bunch of great friends, learn some discipline and a trade while you're at it.
Would also encourage you (much to the negative words of blokes like Dekker

) to look at Officer entry and the people that fit the bill for it. Who knows, you might look at it and find yourself rather suited to that kind of role.
