It is indeed DAYMNN hot. Especially when you don't have AC in your car. Hydrate out there, chaps.

Speaking of cars, somebody just hit mine with theirs. At rest, behind the engineer I was supposed to shadow for the afternoon, some contractor from Illinois tried to get into the right lane and took out my right tail light. So, instead of going to the County Government Center to observe legal issues in engineering contracts, I got to call the police and the insurance company. Oh what joyous fun.

Earlier today, on my way to work, another contractor's truck lost a coil of flexible black corrugated pipe just in front of me. Watch out for those contractors, mentlegens...

Wow that sucks. :/ Could be worse though, imagine waking up one late morning to your buddy calling you, asking "Dude ~~where's my~~ wtf did you do to your car!?" and as you wipe the nonsense from your eyes, look out the window and go "wtfuuuuuu?" you realize someone did a hit and run on your car while you were asleep... :|

(Fortunately there were some very kind illegal immigrant workers who witnessed it and gave me the bastard's tag number.)

That's gotta take forever... I was going to do that for my Zune but I decided to just buy an mp3 player that supported a better selection of formats.

4 at a time. My problem isn't format--it's file size. Most of my library is FLAC. My music folder is 235 GB. I have a 32GB iPod Nano. 1448 tracks takes 1 hour 47 minutes; 13.5 tracks a minute. It'll take another 4-5 hours I think. Then I get to setup an MP3-specific copy.

A lawn mower blade maintenance was using broke off and went through my window, sprayed glass all over my room and landed on my computer.

I am very glad I wasn't in at the time, or I'd be in the hospital.

Nope. . . apparently once the thing got through both panes of glass and the blinds it didn't have a lot more energy to expend, just landed on top of my desktop, and sat there. I actually walked into my room, sat down, and started up my machine before i realized I was sitting on glass and a chunk of metal was sitting on top of my box.

Had riding lessons in the morning, luckily the weather this weekend has been considerably cooler then Monday through Friday so horse and rider didn't happen to get heat stroke

After I left the barn I did some grocery shopping then mowed the lawn when after lunch. I've a paint can I use to hold my spare quarters and dimes until it fills up, which it was. So I just rolled up $700 USD in coinage that I'll take over to the bank tomorrow.

I determined that I needed about an hour and a half to get to work using public transport. Knowing this is important because I start work slightly before 8 am; every second of extra sleep I get will come in handy.
