I guess that would include websites like meebo.com and whatever other web messenger interfaces AIM, yahoo, msn, and icq offers.
I assumed you tried a proxy and to no avail, or at least to find a proxy that wasn't blocked by your school yet. If you find a proxy that does work, do meebo.com.

Download a proxy program that emulates/reroutes traffic through a browser. I'm sure that there are some available.
