less than 12 hours now before my new land line kicks in with a 40gb limit instead of my old 5gb mobile connection :D  so long as the bloody engineer turns up today to kick the telegraph pole outside to make sure everything is up to spec, which it should be seeing as we had BT replace the line a couple of years ago.

Just brought Ace Combat: Asault Horizon Limited Edition for 360.
Time to abuse the **** out of my equilibrium and reflexes as I pump this **** to maximum difficulty.   :cool:
It's a shame that it cost me almost 50% of my personal funds though... :(

after about a half hour of doing battle with newegg's checkout process and my credit card's anti-fraud features, i finally have the rest of the components for my super awsome new gaming rig ordered. 

now, just have to remember how i managed to install XP onto a SATA drive without a floppy reader so i can reformat the old one for the guy i'm selling it to.  and track down my XP and various driver disks.

XP has never given me issues installing to a SATA drive, provided it's using onboard SATA and not a 3rd party PCI card adapter or something.  Just give it a shot with the disk.

Don't let it get in the way of your exams. Put it out of your head until you're done (I know that's easier said than done, but you don't want to screw up Year 12). Everything will still be there, ready to be dealt with after your exams are over. You don't want to have to repeat the year because of this (or even end up with a final score that doesn't reflect your ability).

i know for a fact my disk in particular won't do it without 3rd party SATA drivers.  even on a repair install.  it has SP1, it's possible that either 2 or 3 included sata drivers.  i know when i installed for this build, the mobo's SATA drivers came on a CD.  i can't remember if i could use that or if i had to copy to a floppy.  hopefully the CD is all i need.

It turns out that our boss told us to report early in full uniform because our supervisors failed to keep checks on who is on leave. There wasn't anything else to it.

So, the midterm gauntlet begins in just under 4 hours. 3 midterms, exactly 24 hours. First one starts at 5:30 today, last one ends tomorrow at 5:30.

I am NOT looking forward to this. And the last one will be the worst one. Discrete Math and Boolean Algebra II. With a prof who is awful at explaining anything but likes making needlessly complicated questions on assessments.

I failed Discrete I the first time as it is, so I'm already taking Discrete II a year behind in my program. But at least this midterm deals mostly with stuff I at least mostly understand.
