I recently found out that SMPlayer is awesome.

Late to the party, huh? Yes, it is better than VLC except for DVD playback. Just don't confuse SMPlayer with KMPlayer which shouldn't be touched no matter how much someone claims it's the best.

Hey, before SMPlayer I used KMPlayer, and the only thing I didn't like about it was that I just couldn't get it to work with my secondary monitor so that it would a) automatically show videos in fullscreen on the secondary monitor and b) show the subtitles on the secondary monitor. It was always either/or. SMPlayer seems to succeed in this task, which is the only reason I switched to it.

Edit: One other thing I didn't like about KMPlayer: the uninstallation wizard was only available in Korean.
