I'm rather confident I just ate a packet of crisps. The empty packet of crisps on the table and my will to die a quick and painless death seem to support this theory.

 

A 300g packet of crisps always seems like a good idea at first. Then, when you eat it alone within an hour or two, you realize your mistake.

i am back from the woods. managed to crash my spitfire 11 times before i ran out of epoxy. i did get one good flight, for about 30 seconds. i also fell down the stairs and have a gaping wound on my leg as a result. i wanted to go kayaking again but the river was too low. also i went crab fishing, picked up 4 dungies, they were delicious.

Practicing your drifting on a dirt/gravel road can be fun, but it dosen't work too well when the road is straight.  Luckily the only damage seems to be some some slightly bent sheet metal.

My epic doom paper is complete. However, I have misplaced the only copy of the ridiculously complicated evaluation form. I cannot recieve credit without that form.

This is less than ideal...my only hope is recreate the form from memory using a pencil.

Speaking of zerg rushes, I left my Mac on throughout the night to see how a six-AI game in the Battle for Wesnoth would fare if they were given 800 gold per turn to create the best units available to their team. I was so surprised when I woke up just now to see them still going at it, a full twelve hours since they started.

Speaking of zerg rushes, I left my Mac on throughout the night to see how a six-AI game in the Battle for Wesnoth would fare if they were given 800 gold per turn to create the best units available to their team. I was so surprised when I woke up just now to see them still going at it, a full twelve hours since they started.

If you didn't give any variations, then they'd simply stall in gameplay. AI is incapable of human strategy. Where the AI would spend 8000 gold for a raiding party and decide that it's enough, the player would build up a force of 16000 and keep them back at base until a situation calls for an attack. Then our 16k worth of units would crush three or four or more of the AI's 8k raiding squads. And when all's said and done, the player would throw a gigantic unstoppable force at the AI one at a time.

Reminds me a bit of CnC Generals; I would choose an 8-team FFA and park myself in the corner of the map. Then I'd build and strengthen lines of minigun or laser emplacements while fielding an unstoppable bomber force, designed to take out any superweapons before they're effective. The AI would throw itself against my fortress and then give up; I was light on units so I was a lower priority target. Humans would never let me get to that point of absolute control over a map, pending their decimation.

Interesting strategy.

The only variation was that three of the six AI are set to RCA AI. I don't see the difference between the Default AI and this.
