Well, Adobe decided to be a bunch of assholes and take the CS4 trial versions offline before making the CS5 trial versions available, and I have this project due 6pm monday, so my parents were trying to find a place to get the old version (it's really hard to find it)... they thought they'd found something, but the site required a (trivial) registration fee. I was suspicious, and looked up the so-called "third-party" billing service (webpaycom dot com), but all I was able to find was that their domain was only registered two months ago. My parents figured that wasn't enough of a reason to not do it, and went ahead. And guess what happened after they gave the form their credit card info? It said "declined by processing". So they probably have the credit card info, and we haven't even got anything to show for it.

****ing Adobe... I bet if they'd never bought Flash this wouldn't be happening right now.

I just got back from Prom.  I accomplished my objective for this year:  I actually got to dance with someone before I graduated.  Nevermind it wasn't the person I really wanted to dance with,* but I'm not going to complain.  Even though I didn't get to dance with the person I asked, I don't feel bad after this dance.  Yay me!

* She said no.  I think.  She tried to dodge the question for quite a bit before giving an ambiguous answer back.  Decided not to jeopardize any progress I had made.  She gave me a hug before we left though, so I'm inclined to think progress was indeed made.

I didn't go to prom either. I went to a writer's conference where I got to have a wonderful, passionate and completely platonic affair-esque thing with an incredibly sharp and strong woman.

This was good practice for meeting my first and so-far-good-luck lady friend at the next conference I went to.
