I bought Fallout 3 and I've been playing it.

I just left Megaton to chase after Pops. I repaired leaks and then went to arrest Mr. Whats-his-name, for wanting to blow up Megaton with the bomb. He killed the sheriff. I went out into the "wild", and ran into two interesting things. First is a supermarket. I went in and picked up 2 laser gun things and a bunch of batteries for them. I then found out you repair weapons by salvaging parts--meaning if I have 3 10mm pistols, I can combine them to make a less-damaged pistol. I wish I had known that before--it would have been much easier. Anyways, after that I got into a bit of a firefight with the things in the supermarket. I left the market and went closer to DC, where I entered the Metro. In short, really spooky to me. Had radrats attack and went pretty deep in. I found a gate with feral ghouls... instead of sticking around I just left. It was too creepy. I got out of the Metro and back above ground, but it's night-time there. So, I have no idea what to do... too far back to Megaton and the supermarket's out of the question. I'll probably just travel a bit, look around. Bethesda did a great job--such a vast area and immersible atmosphere. I have been playing in Medium quality smoothly since properly reinstalling my graphics drivers. The game's appearance is great, and gameplay is fun. I don't like the FPS aspect exactly, though. Inventory management is a task--there's never any indication of what to pick up. A hint: early game, pick up everything you can. You can sell it when you get to Megaton.
