Re: Whatever happens in your life
My Dog's dying :(

Unfortunately, I know how that feels, having experienced that very recently. Well, actually, it was quite sudden and unexpected, but it was a similar thing.

Condolences to you, Dekker.

Worked out the opening bars of Metamorphosis One (i.e. Kara Thrace's Caprica apartment soundtrack :P ) by ear on the piano. Very happy.

Re: Whatever happens in your life
I just came back from my 3D Art lesson. I found it quite fun to work out the details of a clay hand.

If my friend chose to wait for me, I would've been even happier, but she didn't, so... :blah:

Re: Whatever happens in your life
I took yesterday off work to take up the floor tiles in our kitchen, the b*stards are stuck down so good I only got half the floor up (and that's only the first layer of tiles), have to chip away at the rest over the weekend it seems.   :sigh:

Re: Whatever happens in your life
had a similar thing to do recently. you just need to have a decent hammer and pick and patience to find out under which angles the tile and its associated "glue" come off when hit.

i've worked out with my precision it took me 3-6 hits total to lift the complete 20x7.5 cm tile without breaking it. it was still an assload of work.

These are the cheap plastic self adhesive type, you think you have a good purchase on a tile, pull on it and the plastic lining on the very top of the tile peels away leaving this black plastic behind which refuses to budge unless you chip away at it with a wallpaper scraper.  :hopping:

I found a few areas where the cat had pee'd came up real easy! Anyone know how to make a cat urinate evenly all over a kitchen floor?  :)

I'm teaching my younger brother the finer arts of 'Mech design and 'Mech piloting. He's never played much MechWarrior before and decide to jump into the wagon straight, with no idea how to properly design or pilot 'Mechs. But he's competent.

No offense, but I'm trying to figure out if you're being sacarstic or you mean it ... In any case, my brother managed to strap a pair of Clan AC2s to a Hellspawn, and back them up with a trio of Med lasers. Not bad considering that thing weighs a slight 45 tons.

I got bored, and strapped a Long Tom to a Dire Wolf for lulz. Much lulz were to be had when the AI actually hit a Kit Fox with that thing while the poor bugger was running. Ripped a leg right off.

Alright, she's not dead. After 2 months without hearing from her she finally texted me this morning. Le sigh.

I mean it! Mechwarrior is great. It builds self-esteem. Have you ever played any Classic Battletech?
