Interpretation night at Kendo, it's when we study actual kata and forms for kenjutsu using bokken. We went through some kata for the shōtō, shōtō being the short sword component of a Samurai's daishō. It was interesting since you can see similar moves in Eskrima and even Großes Messer for that matter. Its funny how even though melee fighting styles may have developed independent of each other across the globe if developed and refined enough they often reach a similar result, in large part because of whats ergonomically possible for the human body.
Nother night spent in study of The Days Of High Adventure.
